Man arrested after AR-15 found in car at University of Memphis

Published: 11:17 AM CDT April 21, 2021 Updated: 11:17 AM CDT April 21, 2021 MEMPHIS, Tenn. A man is behind bars after a loaded assault rifle was found in his car on the University of Memphis campus. According to an affidavit, Memphis police officers responded to an armed party call Tuesday in a parking lot at Southern and Houston at the University of Memphis. At that location, officers found Michael Bowser, 20, who was trespassing.  He also had an outstanding warrant for robbery. When officers searched Bowser s vehicle, they found a loaded AR-15 with a round in the chamber. Bowser was arrested and is charged with Aggravated Criminal Trespass, Carrying a Weapon on School Property, and Robbery.

A report from the Titusville Police Department said that 29-year-old Edward Bochi entered Temple Christian School while children were outside on the playground on Monday Police said that a school security employee noticed Edward sitting on the property and approached him. Edward was said to not be wearing any pants. He was also observed to have a pistol between his legs.
