Houses have been destroyed by a windstorm in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Tribune Online gathered that the incident which occurred on Saturday at about 10:00 pm wreaked havoc mostly at one of the Internally Displaced Persons ( IDP ) holding camps in Father Joseph Memorial High School, where over ten buildings were badly damaged by the wind.
On Saturday, April 10, the students of Father Joseph High school, Aguleri, came back from the Easter break to commence academic activities on Monday.
According to two of the students, they were in the hostel when a heavy wind started to blow their roofs off causing them to scamper for safety while it lasted.

BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Sunday alleged that his former party, the ruling Trinamool Congress, had forcibly occupied two Zilla Parishads in south Bengal s Jangal Mahal region during panchayat elections in 2018 which, he claimed, witnessed vote loot . Adhikari, who switched sides to the saffron party in December, also accused the TMC leaders of pocketing funds released for various projects of the state and central governments.
Rejecting the charges, senior TMC leader Tapas Roy claimed that those who joined the BJP raise baseless allegations to strengthen position in their new party. Addressing a BJP meeting at Jhargram, Adhikari said, You know how the TMC had looted votes in the 2018 panchayat polls here. The high court on Friday quashed the process initiated by the School Service Commission for recruiting teachers in nearly 15,000 vacant posts in upper primary schools.
Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya directed the commission to start the recruitment process afresh following the guidelines framed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), according to which candidates with a BEd degree should get first preference.
Justice Bhattacharya has set a deadline for the state.
The commission should start the process on January 4. The verification of candidates and preparation of merit list should be completed by May 31, and the recruitment process by August 14.
