Dallas County reports 15 coronavirus deaths, 152 cases; Tarrant County adds 2 deaths, 234 cases

Dallas County reported 15 more COVID-19 deaths and 152 new coronavirus cases Friday.
The latest victims were all in their 50s or older. Seven were men and eight were women, and all but one a man in his 60s had underlying high-risk health conditions.
Five of the victims were Dallas residents, four were from DeSoto, two lived in Grand Prairie and one each lived in Balch Springs, Duncanville, Garland and Richardson.
Dallas County reported 18 more COVID-19 deaths and 294 new coronavirus cases Friday, including more than 30 cases of more-contagious strains of the virus.
The latest victims were mostly in their 60s or older but included one man in his 20s and another in his 30s. Seven were men and eleven were women, and all 18 had underlying high-risk health conditions.
Thirteen of the victims were Dallas residents and one each lived in Balch Springs, DeSoto, Grand Prairie, Irving and Mesquite.
County Judge Clay Jenkins said in a written statement that the new cases included 27 instances of the B.1.1.7, or U.K., variant and four of the B.1.429, or California, variant. The county has now reported 46 total cases of B.1.1.7 and six of B.1.429.

Dallas County reported 22 more COVID-19 deaths and 244 new coronavirus cases Thursday. Meanwhile, Dallas and Tarrant counties have now surpassed a combined 7,000 fatalities.
The latest victims in Dallas County were mostly in their 60s or older. Twelve were men and 10 were women, and all but four including a man in his 40s had underlying high-risk health conditions.
Eleven of the victims lived in Dallas, three in Coppell, two each in Grand Prairie, Irving and Mesquite, and one each in Balch Springs and Carrollton.
