A Johnson County Flood Relief and Distribution Center has opened in the former Aaron’s location in the Mayo Plaza and will be open every day from 10 AM until 6 PM.
If you would like to donate to the flood relief center, you can drop off items during these hours.
Items most needed include paper towels, microfiber towels, all-purpose cleaner, hygiene items, pet food, brooms, shovels, and non-perishable food items.

Update 3-7-21: This boil water advisory has now been lifted.
Due to a main line break, although no contamination has been confirmed, Paintsville Utilities has voluntarily issued a boil water advisory for the following areas:
– RT 321 from the top of Starfire Hill to the American Standard Bridge including all side roads in between. This also includes the area across the American Standard Bridge.
– RT 1428 from the old Adams Construction location to US 23including all side roads in between. This includes Rolling Hills.
– All of West Van Lear and all of Van Lear to the top of Richmond Hill including all side roads. Powell Addition is included.

In response to the recent flooding, officials with Paintsville/Johnson County Emergency Management say they have received a lot of calls and messages from folks wanting to know where to donate funds to help affected homeowners recover from this recent flood event.
Monetary donations can be made to Johnson County Long-Term Recovery and mailed to Johnson County Fiscal Court at P.O. BOX 868, Paintsville, Kentucky 41240.
Checks can also be dropped off at the courthouse at 230 Court Street, Paintsville, Kentucky.
