® dealer network are building momentum through their TECH EmPOWERment initiative, which is supplying accredited technical schools with valuable training equipment, real-world advisory counsel and insights into the opportunities available to aspiring technicians.
The program s new website, www.internationaltrucks.com/support/tech-empowerment, shares valuable information on the great career opportunities available to service technicians in the transportation industry. The site provides information on becoming a technician; applying to dealership jobs; dealer/school partnerships; and military recruitment placement, including the company s Service Allies initiative.
University of Northwestern Ohio to hold virtual commencement
LIMA Due to the ongoing pandemic, the University of Northwestern Ohio has once again decided to hold a virtual graduation ceremony instead of an in-person one.
Graduating students will be notified on how to have their name and photo included in UNOH’s 2021 Virtual Ceremony.
Following the virtual event, graduating students who participated in the event will be mailed a commemorative degree cover, printed graduation program and commemorative tassel.
The Virtual Commencement is scheduled to be released at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 13 and can be found at www.unoh.edu/graduation.

UNOH’s robotics program receives boost
The funds will be used to purchase a Fanuc welding robot.

The ongoing pandemic has impacted the way schools in the county proceed with their normal daily activities. This means that it is uncertain when schools will be able to welcome visitors back into their buildings. We have partnered with The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center to showcase the career and technical programs that they offer so that incoming juniors can make an informed decision in the circumstance that the school is unable to host upcoming visitations in person. Programs will be spotlighted each month of the school year. Students who are interested in enrolling in a program for the 2021-22 school year are invited to do so by visiting the CCCTC’s webpage (https://www.ccctc.k12.oh.us) and completing the enrollment application which is now available.
