AP/File BEIJING: Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts on the Kashmir dispute have achieved remarkable results and the entire international community, including the United Nations, has realised that if the Kashmir issue is not resolved fairly, it will seriously affect regional stability and world peace. These views were expressed by Cheng Xizhong, visiting professor at Southwest University of Political Science and former defence attache in South Asian countries, in an article issued here on Sunday. He pointed out that on January 28, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres called on both India and Pakistan to “come together and seriously discuss their problems” stemming from the unresolved Kashmir dispute, saying his good offices are always available for mediation.

Reuters Pakistan services exports have finally turned around and have started to grow as during the first half of the fiscal year (FY) 2020-2021. The country’s total export of services stood at $2.844 billion as compared to $2.835 billion during the same period in the previous, thus achieving growth despite the serious pandemic.   It is worth noting that during the first half of the current fiscal year, significant growth has been seen in telecommunication and information technology (IT) services, which grew by 40 per cent to $958 million from US$684 million over the corresponding period of last fiscal year, reflecting a very high boost in the post-COVID-19 period.

The article reflects the author s opinions and not necessarily the views of China Economic Net.    According to a report by Associated Press of Pakistan on January 22, policies of Pakistan Government are powering economic growth, with expansion witnessed in remittances and foreign direct investment (FDI) and the primary balance in surplus.    The positive signs in Pakistan s economy are seen in the first quarter of the ongoing fiscal year 2020-2021, with remittances growing 26.5%, FDI 9.1%, tax collection 4.5%, and the primary balance turning into a surplus worth Rs.258 billion. A significant increase is also witnessed in sale of cars, motorbikes and tractors from July to October 2020.

The article reflects the author s opinions and not necessarily the views of Gwadar Pro.   According to a report by Pakistani media “Daily Times” on January 24,Sino-Pakistan Cooperation Center on Traditional Chinese Medicine (SPCCTCM) was launched respectively in Hunan University of Medicine in Huaihua, China and the University of Karachi in Pakistan on Thursday.   In December last year, with the approval of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of China, China-Pakistan Traditional Chinese Medicine Center was established in Huaihua, China.
