Dean’s List
Rand Al Baka and Teeba Al Baka were named to the winter 2021 Dean’s List at Knox College in Illinois. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have earned at least 2.5 credits in the term, with a grade point average of 3.6 or better (on a 4.0 scale).
Regional engineering contest winner
Jared Koenig, a Civil Engineering major at Youngstown State University, is a member of YSU’s Steel Bridge team that placed first at the Ohio Valley Student Steel Bridge Competition, qualifying for the national event in June.
Two cousins were among the recipients at the annual Womanâs Club of Upper St. Clair Scholarship Awards Luncheon, held Tuesday at the McLaughlin Run Road Activity Center.
Mia Rossi and Ross Hartley, grandchildren of club member Jeanette Rossi, are among seven high school seniors to receive financial assistance in their pursuits of higher education.

Both traveled a distance to attend the luncheon, as Mia attends Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville and Ross, Shaler Area High School.
They join other scholarship winners in accepting their awards and introducing themselves during the luncheon: Mia DePolo and Haley Qin, Upper St. Clair; Isabella Folino, Peters Township; and Ross Gardner, who lives in Green Tree and attends Central Catholic High School.
