Lane Meyers of rural Indianola is nervous about his debut at the Warren County Fair, where he ll be showing four hogs. But he s hoping his love for comedian Gabriel Iglesias, for whom he has named a crossbred gilt Gabby, will guide his showmanship to a blue ribbon.
Lane is turning 11 the day before he escorts Gabby along with Frankie, named for Iglesias’ son; Martin, named for Iglesias’ best friend Martin Moreno; and Greg around the ring.
At the time Lane picked names, he only had three hogs. He named the two look-alike crossbred barrows Frankie and Martin, which left the crossbred gilt, yes, a female, to be named for the fluffy comedian.
