Pakistani PM condemns terrorist attacks in Balochistan province Xinhua 01 Jun 2021, 20:44 GMT+10 ISLAMABAD, June 1 (Xinhua) Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday strongly condemned the two separate terrorist attacks that left four soldiers killed in the country s southwest Balochistan province on Monday night. In a tweet, Khan sent his condolences to the bereaved families, saying the country will continue its fight against the terrorists and will not allow them to sabotage peace and development in Balochistan. In a statement early Tuesday morning, the military s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the terrorists carried out two separate attacks including one in the provincial capital of Quetta in which the militants attacked a check post of the paramilitary troops Frontier Corps.

Local wheat stocks beefed up to 5.750 million metric tons

Daily Times May 24, 2021 Islamabad: After harvesting a historic high wheat crop, the strategic grains reserves of the country further rose and crossed 5.75 million tons mark, besides the procurement drive for the current season also entered into its final stage across the crop producing areas in the country. The increase in strategic reserves was mainly attributed with bumper wheat production, which was estimated to cross 27.01 million tons mark, against the set target of 27 million tons for crop season 2020-21, said Food Security Commissioner from the Ministry of National Food Security and Research Dr.Imtiaz Ali Gopang. He said that carry forward stock of wheat was registered at 500,000 metric tons. Besides the procurement of over 5.250 million tons during the current grain procurement campaign across the crop producing areas in the country.
