THE future: Member of the Royal Navy Contingent of the Combined Cadet Force Picture: Energy Coast UTC THE Royal Navy contingent of a west Cumbrian college s Combined Cadet Force have attended a multi subject course. The 15 cadets at the Energy Coast UTC took the course over three days during the Easter holidays and had to complete a range of activities such as drilling, fieldcraft, leadership tasks, ropework and chartwork and navigation. The course took place at the college on Blackwood Road, Lillyhall, near Workington, and was run by the Staff Contingent Commander Jason Alexander, Deputy Contingent Commander Craig Coulson, Cadet Warrant Officer Jack Fleming, Cadet Petty Officer Thomas Adams and student volunteer Josh Nicholson.

FREDRICK JOSEPH FROM FOREST, PA: Back in the 1960s my brothers and I were just growing up in Pennsylvania. We did have a radio and would listen to the games while working in the garage. The announcers had a way of broadcasting the game that made it seem like we were there in the stands. The Steelers won very few games each season, but we were always hopeful of a miracle from Dick Hoak, Gary Ballman, or Roy Jefferson. Who were the radio announcers back then?
