After hanging up the boots in 2020, former New Zealand international Gerard Beale is back in the NRL fold amid an injury and suspension crisis at St George Illawarra.  The 30-year-old premiership winner with Cronulla has appeared six times for the Brisbane Tigers in the Intrust Super Cup this year, and returns to the NRL on a sign and train deal with the Dragons. Some familiar faces welcomed the 12-year veteran to his sixth NRL club as he reunited with former teammates Jack Bird, Andrew Mcullough, Ben Hunt and coach Anthony Griffin.

Dragons pay huge price in NRL thriller

NRL Rd 11 - Sharks v Dragons Sport by Martin Gabor 21st May 2021 10:08 PM | Updated: 10:23 PM The Dragons may struggle to name a 21-man squad for next week’s game after another horror night at Kogarah in which the home side conceded defeat to Cronulla at the death. Already without the suspended quartet of Mikaele Ravalawa, Tariq Sims, Tyrell Fuimaono and Josh McGuire, the Red V are facing a crisis after Ramsey, Jaiyden Hunt and Max Feagai all failed their HIAs. “There’s no one that’s in any real trouble. They’re all alert,” Dragons coach Anthony Griffin said after the game.
