Rarity: Cubs with 4 and 3 hits, just 1 run scored By JohnW53 on May 13, 2021, 9:58am CDT +
Willson Contreras had 4 hits for the Cubs and Joc Pederson had 3.
That made it only the Cubs
fourth game in the entire Modern Era, 1901-2021, in which one of their players had
4 or more hits, another had at least
3, yet the Cubs scored no more than
1 run.
...
MEMORABLE YEAR
The first was way back on Aug. 22, 1908, when the Cubs lost at home to the Doves, today s Braves, 3-1, in 15 innings.
The Cubs made 12 hits in that game, including 4 by Joe Tinker and 3 by Del Howard. Solly Hofman added 2.
There doesn t appear to be a pattern. Miami and New York are big markets. Indianapolis and Minnesota have regularly been good over the past 10 years.
The teams hosting the most games lean heavily to the West Coast Oakland/Las Vegas, Arizona, San Francisco and Seattle are Nos. 2-5 but Jacksonville is No. 1 at 72.7% (8 of 11 prime-time games at home). Again, a mix of big and small markets and no obvious correlation to success.
The Colts most recent home prime-time game was Dec. 14, 2017. Three starters remain with the Colts from that game: Jack Doyle, T.Y. Hilton and Kenny Moore. Chuck Pagano was coaching. Frank Gore was the team s leading rusher. Antonio Morrison and Matthias Farley were the top tacklers. Jonathan Hankins and Barkevious Mingo had sacks.
Way Too Early Initial 53 Man Roster Predictions By Kyle Swagger on May 12, 2021, 9:59am EDT +
Quarterbacks - Carson Wentz, Jacob Eason
This one seems pretty easy unless they decide to bring in a veteran backup at the last minute.
Running Backs - Jonathan Taylor, Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, Deon Jackson
Taylor and Hines are locks and Mack should be as well unless his Achilles injury makes him completely lose his explosiveness. Jordan Wilkins is probably more likely to end up RB4 but since this is last year under contract I think the colts might move on if Jackson can hold his own on special teams.

ONCE known as Queenstown, Cobh, a town steeped in history, is famous for being the last port of call for the ill-fated RMS Titanic in 1912.
Who better to have as my tour guide than Sinead Sheppard, who knows the place inside-out.
She’s been in local politics for the past 12 years including as a county councillor for the Cobh Municipal District for the past five years but her history with the area stretches back much further.
