Ethical norms and many state laws prohibit sexual relationships between healthcare providers and their patients. For instance, California bans marital and family therapists from having such relationships until two years after treatment has ceased. The American Psychological Association s ethics code similarly forbids relationships between psychologists and patients for at least two years after their last professional contact and even then, such relationships are permitted only under the most unusual circumstances where the psychologist can establish that there has been no exploitation.

2020 Year in Review
The pandemic led parishes to celebrate special liturgies, such as this Aug. 27 special Holy Hour at Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Parish to pray for the health and wellbeing of the people who work on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. As with all liturgies during this time, social distancing measures were observed.

SALT LAKE CITY When the novel coronavirus struck Utah in March, Bishop Oscar A. Solis implemented emergency measures in the Diocese of Salt Lake City, issuing a dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass, suspending public worship in Catholic churches, canceling events such as the annual diocesan Lenten retreat, and instructing the Utah Catholic Schools to provide remote instruction rather than onsite.
Just a couple years ago, the Rockets were perennial championship contenders with an MVP star and respected front office staff. The Texans had just drafted Deshaun Watson and still had J.J. Watt in his prime. The Astros, coming off a World Series, had a young core of talent and a revered manager/GM combo.
Today, Houston s three major sports teams are in chaos and at the center of all three are some remarkable scandals that all point to the same thing: too much power in the wrong hands.
In the case of the Astros, the widely reported sign stealing scandal revealed a culture of winning run amok under the guiding hand of former GM Jeff Luhnow. While he has since denied any knowledge of what was going on with secret cameras and clanging garbage cans, people around the game know better. Even owner Jim Crane admitted that the culture had soured with his team. Cleaning house, which they did prior to last season, was their only chance at righting the ship.

Five of the pharmaceutical companies developing COVID-19 vaccines through the USA’s Operation Warp Speed have paid out a total of nearly $6 billion to settle lawsuits charging them with fraud related to “off-label” marketing of atypical antipsychotics and antidepressants that were mandated through the Texas Medication Algorithm Project (TMAP), which evolved into President George W. Bush’s federal “New Freedom Commission on Mental Health.” AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Janssen Pharmaceutical, and Pfizer, which are currently funded with over $7 billion from Operation Warp Speed, financed the nationwide rollout of fraudulent TMAP algorithms in order to bilk Medicaid programs and other public revenues to pay for drugs like Risperdal, Seroquel, Geodon, Paxil, and Wellbutrin, causing serious side-effects, including death.
