GoLocalProv | WaterFire Could Cease to Exist, Says CEO After Providence City Council Denies Federal Funding

WaterFire’s Co-Chief Executive Officer told GoLocal that the organization might not continue to exist, after the Providence City Council voted Thursday not to fund the organization’s $300,000 request for federal funding under the American Rescue Plan Act.

The roof deck has been turned into a venue for patrons to check out some cool art while sipping beer and wine from Every Thursday night, the WaterFire Arts Center will stay open late until 8 p.m. for guests to take in the current exhibit. The newly renamed Troop-Top Deck is a great place to watch the sunset over drinks starting at 5 p.m. (rain-or-shine,  but the event will move inside if it rains). Non-alcoholic drinks and candy bars are also available in the WaterFire Store.
