Around the country, legislators who backed the attempt to overturn the presidential election are being stripped of powerful posts. Some are seeking to adopt the mantle of political martyrs.
Dick Yarbrough: Can Trump supporters identify the real enemy?
Democrat Joe Biden is now President of the United States. Two Democrats defeated two Republican incumbents to represent Georgia in the U.S. Senate, swinging the balance of power in the Senate to the Democrats who already control the House of Representatives. Therefore, you would think Georgia Republicans have figured out by now who the enemy is. Chances are you would have thought wrong.
To quote the sage of the Okefenokee Swamp, Pogo the Possum, “We have met the enemy and he is us.” It seems that once again Republicans are showing their penchant for eating their dead.
Mon, 25 Jan 2021 22:24 UTC Biden totally won The brazen theft of the American 2020 presidential election will go down in history as one of the most notorious and consequential crimes of the Twenty-First Century. While many observers did, indeed, accurately anticipate massive vote fraud by Democrats, I imagine that most of us were still astonished at the breadth and audacity of the criminal conspiracy that stole Trump s undeniable November 3 victory.
Republican poll watchers were banned around the country, and court orders for their return were ignored, even by law enforcement. There were more unbalanced precincts around Detroit than there were balanced ones (meaning their vote counts did not match up). There were almost 200,000 more votes than actual voters in Pennsylvania. Thousands of mail-in ballots were counted without ever being mailed or even before being mailed. We even caught them stuffing ballot counters on film! But nothing was done.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has warned state law enforcement agencies of the possibility of coordinated armed protests at capitol buildings in all 50 states leading up to the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.
Georgia has been center stage for President Donald Trump s baseless allegations of a fraudulent election despite state officials repeatedly saying there was no indication of widespread irregularities in the state s general election.
Three Republican Georgia state senators who supported President Trump
Two days into the state legislature s winter session, Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan (R) took action against state Sens. Brandon Beach of Alpharetta, Matt Brass of Newnan and Burt Jones of Jackson.
The demotions mean that Beach will no longer chair the state s Transportation Committee, and Jones will be replaced as chair on the Insurance and Labor Committee. Brass will now oversee a banking committee a lesser position than he previously held, according to Journal-Constitution.

While the demotions were somewhat expected, not all members of the assembly who supported the president s efforts faced penalties, the Journal-Constitution wrote.
