Princess Michael of Kent has fallen ill with blood clots, it was reported last night.
The royal, 76, who is married to the Queen s first cousin Prince Michael of Kent, is said to have been ill for nearly a month.
A source close to the princess claimed she has sought medical attention after amid the concerns for her health.
The source told The Sun: It has been a worrying time for those around her. It has been difficult for those close to her to see her suffering. She s really been through it.

78-year-old Prince Michael of Kent was eighth in line to the throne at his time of birth, in Buckinghamshire, on 4 July 1942. As a grandson of King George V and Queen Mary, he is the Queen’s first cousin and, these days, he is 50th in the line of succession.
Aged five he had a starring role as a page boy at the wedding of Prince Elizabeth and Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, the late Duke of Edinburgh. Born during the Second World War, seven weeks after his birth, Prince Michael’s father – Prince George, Duke of Kent – was killed in a plane crash near Dunbeath in Scotland. Prince Michael’s mother was Princess Marina, a daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece and Denmark and Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna of Russia.

Prince Michael (b. 4 July 1942) is the younger brother of the Duke of Kent and paternal first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II. As a five-year-old, he was a pageboy at the wedding of the then Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip. He was educated at Sunningdale School and Eton, before entering the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst, during his life he has always been active in learning languages and is an accredited Russian interpreter as well as being fluent in French and having a working knowledge of German and Italian.

Who is Prince Michael of Kent?
Prince Michael of Kent is a member of the British royal family who occasionally represents the Queen at functions.
The multi-lingual consultancy business owner was educated at Eton and is regarded as the first member of the family to learn Russian.
He served in the military from the early 1960s to 1981, retiring with the rank of Major following service in Germany, Hong Kong and Cyprus.
