Police are appealing for witnesses A MAN was stabbed while walking through St Helens town centre in the early hours of Saturday. Police say that at around 3.40am on Saturday, May 22 they were called to a property on Waterloo Street, St Helens where officers found a man with a puncture wound to his back and lacerations to his hands. It is believed that the 22-year-old man had been walking through the town centre a short time earlier when he was assaulted. He was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries. CCTV and witness enquiries have been carried out in the local area, police said.

The venture started three years ago after two coffee loving brothers Steve and Dave Jones, who are originally from Haydock, decided that, alongside their electrical engineering jobs, they were going to launch a specialist coffee shop in Altrincham.
