Rosalie I Schmitt, enjoyed raising children

April 18, 2021 Rosalie I. Schmitt, affectionately known as “Rosie” or “RoRo,” 83, of Lewes passed away surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Christiana Care in Newark. Rosie was born in Lewes Feb. 16, 1938, daughter of the late William Brack Porter and Vera Emily (Holston) Porter.  She was a graduate of Lewes High School class of 1956.   Rosie began her working career as a secretary at Stokely-Van Camp in Rehoboth Beach.  After meeting her husband, Frederick Schmitt, and starting her family she began her true vocation as a mom.  Being a Navy wife, she quickly learned how to organize large events to small intimate dinners with the officers and men of her husband’s ships at various navy bases.

OSHA filed a lawsuit against the hotel’s operator and owner. By Shereen Hashem Apr 05, 2021 A Texas hotel worker was illegally fired after going to the hospital regarding exposure to carbon monoxide. According to a press release, in January of 2019, a worker at Holiday Inn Express & Suites hotel alerted his or her employer of the exposure which made him/her sick. The employee refused to call an ambulance after requested to do so or help in any way. The employer allegedly threatened to terminate the employee. After going to the hospital, the worker was fired. Following an investigation, OSHA filed a lawsuit saying the hotel operator, All Seasons Hospitality and Investments LLC and its owner, Tanvir Shahmohd fired the employee for seeking medical treatment, in violation of the federal law.
