This past Saturday, I scheduled an appointment to get a coronavirus vaccine at the Bryce Jordan Center.
I was unsure about getting the vaccine right away, but the more I thought about it, I previously had the coronavirus. Since I am moving to another state in a month to start a new job, I figured it would be best to protect myself and others before leaving.
It was relatively easy to sign up for a vaccine appointment â I scheduled it here.
I tried to find out which vaccine I would be receiving, so I could prepare for any potential side effects or if I would require a second dose.
Original Story: Governor Tom Wolf announced Tuesday that Pennsylvania will momentarily pause the distribution of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, citing growing concerns and a federal recommendation.
Both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration recommending halting the vaccine’s use after a few patients experienced “rare and severe” blood clotting.
Pennsylvania is following the @CDCgov and @US FDA recommendation to pause the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
We re taking this step out of an abundance of caution until @CDCgov and @US FDA can review the six cases of rare blood clots that have occurred. Governor Tom Wolf (@GovernorTomWolf) April 13, 2021
