It’s St. Patrick’s Day and while many may be celebrating by raising a pint or digging into an Irish meal there are other ways to find your luck today.
Jason Carr chatted with Stuart Marley, co-owner of Real Irish Gifts & Travel in Ann Arbor, about another way to enjoy the holiday.
Marley suggested celebrating with a memento from Ireland or a trip to the Emerald Isle.

St John gifts lifesaving device to marae in Murupara

The chances of surviving a cardiac arrest have been boosted for the community surrounding Tipapa Marae in Murupara, with the gift of a new automated external defibrillator (AED).
The lifesaving device presented by St John is the latest of 28 AEDs donated by ASB and Philips to support efforts by St John to improve cardiac arrest survival rates in New Zealand.
St John s Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) registry, released last week, revealed last year, St John Ambulance treated more than 2000 people for a cardiac arrest in the community, with only 31 per cent of those surviving to hospital arrival.

This reminds us that life on earth is temporal. No matter how we try to stretch our physical body to last over a hundred years, it remains that our spiritual body will become our main destination after our temporary stay here on earth. We do not only need to preserve and enhance our physical bodies but most importantly those that are not seen by our naked eyes but felt by anyone we relate with. Our kindness shall remain in their hearts and minds and shall be passed on to others to effect a chain of such virtue.
