DOVER Somersworth resident Jack Bocchino and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital staff want the same thing: for him to leave the hospital.
How that happens is in dispute and has resulted in a court case, a lawsuit filed by the hospital in an effort to remove Bocchino. He says if they agree to take him home, he ll happily go.
On July 21, two court documents were filed by Concord law firm Sulloway and Hollis on behalf of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. The documents were essentially the same, one listing the defendant as John Doe, and a second under Bocchino s real name.
The filings ask the court to compel Bocchino, 54, who is non-ambulatory and morbidly obese, to cooperate with the hospital on a discharge plan, and to work with hospital staff to find an acceptable place for Bocchino and his disabled son to live.
