Courts of civil judges functional in Landikotal, Bara

PESHAWAR: After Mohmand, Bajaur and Kurram, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) has established courts of civil judges at Landikotal and Bara which are functional.
As soon as improvisation is complete, all courts of Khyber district will start functioning according to the long-standing desire of the people of the area, said a press release issued from the office of PHC Registrar Khwaja Wajihuddin.
It added that the courts in North Waziristan were functional in the adjacent Bannu district. The government had marked Government Girls College for the establishment of District Courts at Miranshah.
Bara tribesmen seek action against land grabbers

BARA: Residents of Zakhakhel tribe have asked the police to take action against people who had occupied their property and destroyed the boundary walls in Akhakhel area.
Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, Hayatullah Afridi, Gul Jabeen and others said that about 70 people including Gul Meen Afridi, Mirza Afridi and others had attacked and demolished the boundary walls of the house on the Frontier Road in Akhakhel.
They said the police had also registered an FIR against them and arrested two of their servants. They alleged that the police refused to listen to them and register FIR against their rivals. We had bought this property and constructed a house there one year ago,” Hayatullah Afridi said. He said that they were avoiding violence, adding that their house is being destroyed by their rivals.
BARA: The elders of Khyber tribal district held a Jirga against the merger of erstwhile Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which was also attended by elders of Darra Adamkhel.
Two killed in Bara incidents

BARA: Two persons, including a woman, were killed and another sustained injuries in different incidents in Bara tehsil of the Khyber tribal district, official and local sources said on Saturday.
The sources said Gul Nabi and Ahmad Gul exchanged harsh words over property dispute and opened fire on each other in Sipah area in Bara tehsil.
Two passers-by, Imran Khan and Sabirullah sustained injuries, the sources said.
The injured were shifted to a hospital where Imran Khan succumbed to his injuries.
In another incident, a woman committed suicide due to unknown reasons in Shalobar area.
(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) BARA: The elders of Malikdinkhel tribe of Khyber tribal district on Thursday expressed full confidence in the ongoing survey of damaged houses, and said the process must continue without any interruption.
Addressing a press conference at Bara Press Club, the Malikdinkhel tribe elders said the survey of damaged houses is continuing in a transparent manner. They said the process must continue and complete as soon as possible so that the people who suffered damages during militancy and military operations could get compensation to rebuild their houses and start a normal life. However, they said, some elements are spreading propaganda against the survey process and hurling baseless allegations due to which the process is facing delays, which is against the overall interest of the area.
