The Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating after two metal “No Trespassing” signs were stolen from the property at the Pembroke and Area Airport on Len Hopkins Drive.
The signs were stolen in mid-April and there are no suspects at this time, according to a police release.

The Pembroke and Area Airport has recently experienced issues with people trespassing on their property on foot, walking dogs, in vehicles and using off-road vehicles. The signs had been posted to deter such activity and the public is reminded that it is against the law to trespass on airport property. Anyone found trespassing on airport property may be charged under the Trespass to Property Act of Ontario.
OTTAWA Police in Pembroke are investigating after two ‘No Trespassing’ signs were stolen from a local airport. The signs were stolen in mid-April from the Pembroke and Area Airport on Len Hopkins Drive, OPP said in a release Thursday. Police have no suspects. Police say the airport has had problems with people trespassing on the property on foot, while walking their dogs, and in cars and off-road vehicles. The signs were posted to deter that activity, but now they’re gone. Police are reminding the public that it’s illegal to trespass on airport property. Anyone with information about the signs is asked to contact the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP at 613-735-0188.
