Beshear said. “We are grateful to be able to provide these funds because they will ensure many Kentuckians won’t have to make the impossible choice between feeding their family and keeping the lights on.”

McDavid has dedicated 27 years as the executive director of the FIVCO Area Development District, and before that she was executive director of the FIVCO Service Agency, bringing her total to 38 years serving the residents of Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Greenup and Lawrence counties in northeastern Kentucky. McDavid said she has seen a lot of growth and changes during her years, and that she was glad to have been a part of it. But she said that she is ready to retire, something she will do on March 1.
