Event Description Join us for the Fayetteville Jazz Festival presented by the University of Arkansas Community Music School, the Institute for Creative Music, Music Moves and Fayetteville Public Library. Vocalist Carmen Bruner will be welcomed to the Mountain Street Stage, where she will perform alongside pianist Reggie James, drummer Anthony Ball and bassist Kyth Trantham. Fayetteville Public Library Invites Community To Teach and Learn at New Commercial Kitchen

Courtesy / Batesville School District In 2018, the Batesville School District voted to work with Entegrity Partners to go solar to make room in its budget for salary increases for teachers. Now, Entegrity is working with 20 other school districts to harness the power of the sun to save money. Aside from becoming more affordable overall, Arkansas laws like the Solar Access Act of 2019, have made it more economically feasible for public entities like school districts to make the switch to solar power.

Executive Director David Johnson says people and organizations will be able to check the kitchen out like a book and programming at the new facility will be driven by community members. The kitchen will also be used to supply the library s new deli with fresh food items.

Kiley Reid s Book Recommendations

Kiley Reid’s debut novel, Such a Fun Age, is a propulsive read about race and class featuring a 25-year-old babysitter and her privileged employer. Reid will be an executive producer on the film adaptation of her bestseller, which was long-listed for the 2020 Booker Prize, for Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad production company along with Sight Unseen Pictures. The paperback comes out on April 20. Before her publishing debut, Reid worked as a nanny, barista, receptionist, and at Godiva. She also studied theater and attended the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. She now lives in Philadelphia, after falling in love with the city after seeing a 2015 Beyoncé concert there in the pouring rain. Read on to see what else she s fallen for.
