PAYETTE â As the Payette County Sheriffâs Office seeks ways to upgrade the aging security camera systems in the Payette County Courthouse and Jail facilities, representatives from one local provider of such systems has proposed an alternative means of filling this need.
At its regular meeting on Monday, the Payette County Board of Commissioners heard a proposal from Jonathan Bradshaw from M2 Automation of Boise.
On its website, M2 is described as a security technology company specializing in âenterprise security technologies such as IP camera systems, access control systems, intercom systems, duress alarm systems and jail control systems.â

PAYETTE, Idaho The Payette County Sheriff s Office says a 5-year-old boy has died in an ATV accident.
Emergency responders were called at 12:53 p.m. Saturday to private residence off Hill Road in Payette.
The Payette Police Department, Payette Fire Department, Payette County Paramedics, and an air ambulance assisted at the scene.
Investigators say the boy was riding an ATV while being supervised by family members and overturned in a pasture. He was thrown from the ATV.
Efforts to revive the boy were unsuccessful. Initial reports are that the boy was not wearing a helmet. His name has not been released.

PAYETTE COUNTY, Idaho After a slew of reports and multiple calves going missing during the night, the Payette County Sheriff s Office is warning residents of cattle rustling in pastures near Payette and Fruitland.
The sheriff s office announced on Wednesday that it is investigating several reports of cattle theft that were called in between March 5 and March 8.
Officials said they have been reported of at least nine calves that were taken during the night from pastures in the Fruitland and Payette areas.
Cody Burlile, the State Brand Inspector, has been notified of the reports of cattle rustling. The State Brand Inspector is part of the Idaho State Police and is solely tasked with preventing and reducing theft of livestock in Idaho when they are being sold, leaving the state and when going to slaughter.
