2021 IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll – April 5, 2021
North Carolina (11-0) topped Syracuse, 17-6, over the weekend to strengthen their stranglehold on the top spot in the Division I Coaches Poll. Northwestern (9-0) stayed unbeaten and moved into the number two position, Syracuse (6-1) dropped into third, and Notre Dame (6-2) and Boston College (8-1) traded spots to complete the top five. The back half of the top ten remained unchanged, as Stony Brook (9-2), Virginia (8-3), Duke (6-5), Maryland (5-3), and Florida (9-2) all stayed put. There were no new entrants to this week’s poll, and no significant movement by any of the ranked teams.

UL Softball Rises In Latest Major Poll
The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns are on the rise in one of the major top 25 college softball polls, after another unbeaten week.
Louisiana, who is currently riding a 12-game win streak, checks in at number 14 in this week s USA Today/NFCA Division I Coaches Poll, which was released on Tuesday.
UL, who is currently 27-6 on the season, was ranked number 16 in the poll last week.
Louisiana has now been ranked in at least one of the major national polls for 114-consecutive weeks.
The Cajuns went 5-0 last week, all on the road, sweeping a three-game Sun Belt Conference series from Georgia St. (Friday-Saturday), before then sweeping a non-conference doubleheader from Lamar on Monday.

ROMEOVILLE, IL After capping off a 17-2 regular season with a back-to-back wins at Loyola last week, earning the program s second straight Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) title in the process, the nationally-ranked Lewis University men s volleyball team heads into this weekend s MIVA Tournament as the No. 1 seed.
The Flyers, who play at the NCAA Division I level and were ranked No. 2 in the most recent RPI rankings and No. 4 in the latest Coaches Poll, open up conference tournament play against No. 8 seed Quincy at 7 p.m. Saturday at Neil Carey Arena in Romeoville.
