Palmerston North’s history is intertwined with the story of our city’s bus system. Memories of the 1940s-60s echo a time when not every family owned a car but, the buses could take you anywhere, with one cheap ticket. School, work, church, hospital, to town for a day’s shopping or, on Saturdays to the movies; winding around suburban streets with a stop on almost every handy corner. The tradition continues to this day with our region’s extensive range of bus routes, in and around the city. Recently Graeme Liggins, local collector of historical memorabilia and ‘fossicker extraordinaire’, came across a new treasure – a trove of black and white photos of the old Palmerston North and districts bus fleet.

The Pokémon Company
Newsletter emails containing a code for the Mythical Pokémon Zarude have started rolling out to players across Europe, allowing them to add the creature to their team in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
As we detailed back in December, players had the chance to sign up to the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter to receive a code – those who had done so by 18th December would automatically be registered to receive Zarude via email.
If you signed up in time, you should find that very email popping up in your inbox shortly, if not already. Here s a screenshot of the email you ll receive – bear in mind that we ve blanked out our own code:

A code to claim Zarude, the Dark and Grass-type Pokémon, via
Pokémon Sword and
Shield s Mystery Gift feature was supposed to be attached to December s Pokémon Trainer Club Newsletter, as long as gamers signed up before November 20.
However, when the newsletter was distributed in mid-December, many trainers said they didn t receive it. There are threads and threads on Reddit and other forums in which gamers ask why they didn t receive their newsletter with the Zarude code. Unfortunately, there has been no official reason given for the mishap.

Original Story
To end 2020, The Pokémon Company International planned to give Pokémon trainers a special Mythical Pokémon for their
Sword and
Shield games through a special code. However, many trainers have said they haven t received their code.
In November, The Pokémon Company International announced the special Zarude distribution via the Pokémon Trainer Club Newsletter. This newsletter gives fans an update on all things Pokémon for the month.
This method of distribution has been used in the past, but for this event it seemingly didn t work as planned. When the distribution was announced, the only steps trainers had to take was make sure they signed up for the newsletter by November 20. If you were already signed up for the newsletter, you didn t have to do anything; you just had to make sure the email wasn t sent to your Spam folder.
