Today’s article is focused on two things that most people probably wouldn’t think have a connection to each other: (a) Crop Circles; and (b) “missing time” (similar to the type that occurs in the “alien abduction” phenomenon). Very early on in his Crop Circle research, Matthew Williams (both a creator and a researcher of Crop Circles) came to realize something deeply strange and highly intriguing. Namely, that many people who make the formations experiencing unusual phenomena in the fields – and on numerous occasions in the formations of their very own making. For example, Matt has experienced (as have a number of other, well-known Circle-makers, more than a few of who are reluctant to speak on the record) a wealth of weird phenomena in Crop Circles that he himself created. That included seeing small, aerial balls of light zipping around, detecting unexplained animal-like presences, and
Crop Circles: they are one of the most fascinating phenomena of latter-day times. The theories for who or what is responsible for them include aliens, beings from other dimensions, the Earth itself – warning us of our reckless, dangerous ways – and military experiments. And, there is the matter of time travelers, too. If you look carefully at the available data you’ll see that there’s no doubt about the culprits. It’s us: the human race. While some of the makers consider their work as artwork –something that allows them to commune with higher, supernatural entities – other view them as nothing but hoaxers. Others, it’s said, are time travelers leaving their messages that we need to reel in our warlike ways. Either way, it’s all about people – whether of now or of times to come.

State Sen. Mike Barrett, state Rep. Ken Gordon, Town Manager Sarah Stanton, and Bedford Cultural Council Chair Barbara Purchia, announced the award of 35 grants totaling $11,400 for cultural programs in Bedford or for Bedford residents.
“This is a wonderful and creative slate of Bedford Cultural Council grants. During the pandemic, arts and culture are more vital than ever in terms of the strength and fabric of the Bedford community and for our residents quality of life, ” Stanton said in a release.
According to Purchia, there were a record number of applications, many from first time applicants.
“These grants ensure that Bedford’s wealth of cultural groups will continue to thrive,” Barrett said. “From the looks of it, local volunteers buckled down and stretched every dollar to support an impressive 35 organizations.”
It’s still winter in the Northern Hemisphere – far too early for crops and crop circles – so whoever or whatever makes them made the best of bad weather in Alabama and created some mysterious and beautiful circles on a frozen creek, not a state where it generally gets cold enough for creeks or lakes to freeze. Ice and weather experts are baffled. Could these ice circles be a warning from aliens to start paying attention to climate change?
The other crop circles
“First thing I do in the mornings when I get up is open our shutters to look at the water from our bedroom window. I was so surprised. It appeared a bit frightening, since we had no idea what caused it. We quickly went outside onto our deck and then to our lower deck to see this amazing sight. It looked like crop circles you might see when you are looking from an airplane.”
