(ABC 6 News) - Alliant Energy is helping families fight hunger over the holidays.
The company is donating $100,000 to purchase food boxes for families in need this Christmas.
For many families, this holiday season is the first time they need extra help due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We want to show families that they are not alone. We know it’s been a very challenging year and we’re here to help,” said Alliant Energy Spokesperson Morgan Hawk.
The food boxes are being delivered to families across 14 different communities in Iowa and Wisconsin. 1,000 food boxes are being distributed to families in Iowa.
