More than 50 organisations including IKEA, Ecotricity, Triodos, and Good Energy have signed up to a new Green Pension Charter, which calls for retirement savings to be invested in line with the UK s 2050 net zero emissions target.
Spearheaded by the Make My Money Matter (MMMM) campaign in conjunction with climate group Count Us In, the charter commits signatories to work with their pension provider and scheme trustees to secure a green pension and support net zero initiatives in the lead up to the COP26 Climate Summit in November.
