Report: Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum announced on Wednesday that the government is seeking to resume group tours to and from countries that are effectively handling the pandemic as early as next month for those who have completed vaccinations.
At a meeting with officials, Kim expected the tour resumption to help breathe new life into the pandemic-hit airline and tourism industries and signal the start of normalization in people s daily lives.
This comes as the ministries of transport and tourism said talks are under way with countries and regions like Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Guam and Saipan to sign agreements on so-called travel bubbles.
