There will now be email confirmations sent out weekly to those who have registered, updating people where they are in the vaccination registration process.
Many people have tried calling to register for the COVID-19 vaccine with the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) West Central Health District and experienced long hold times.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) Monday, a few Muscogee County residents traveled over 172 miles round trip to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Dooly County at Dooly County High School.
According to Pamela Kirkland with the Columbus Health Department, residents were offered the opportunity to register to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Dooly County due to the lack of appointments available in Muscogee and Harris counties.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Some people 65 and older may have problems registering online for a COVID-19 vaccination appointment simply because they are not familiar with the technology.
Phase 1A, of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s distribution plan continues to ramp up in the Chattahoochee Valley and surrounding areas. Healthcare providers everywhere are vaccinating more and more people as the next phase of the distribution plan is on the horizon.
However, the experience for many people has not been the same. Some people have had fairly simple experiences with registering to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, while others claim to be struggling.
