Nearly 29 percent of all Boston residents aged 16 or over had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of April 13, city officials said via Twitter.
The tally came in an 8 a.m. tweet Tuesday from the official city of Boston account.
âAs of April 13, 168,145 Boston residents have been vaccinated,â the city tweeted. âThatâs 28.9% of the Cityâs population aged 16 and older!â City officials confirmed via e-mail that the tally is for fully vaccinated residents.

Twelfth Baptist Church in Roxbury on Monday opened a COVID-19 vaccination clinic on its grounds in partnership with Boston Medical Center.
Acting Mayor Kim Janey briefed reporters at the church, along with Rev. Willie Bodrick, ll and Dr. Thea L. James, the hospitalâs vice president of mission and associate chief medical officer.
