Budget Airline to Begin Flying Out of MSP Starting this Fall Budget airline Allegiant, based out of Las Vegas, is going to start flying out of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport this fall, 2021. This is great for those of us who want to travel but also want to travel on a budget. Allegiant will offer direct, non-stop flights to three different locations. What is Allegiant Airlines? Allegiant is technically based out of Summerlin, NV which is a suburb of Las Vegas. They were originally founded in 1997 as WestJet Express, according to their Wikipedia page. Allegiant is well known for their budget-friendly flights. For example, a random round-trip flight in July that I looked at between Nashville and Cedar Rapids, IA would cost you about $91 per person round-trip.
