Locals will be treated to a day of free skiing at Snow King Mountain today.
Bring an ID from Teton County, Lincoln County, Teton Valley, Idaho, or other proof you work in Jackson Hole, and the resort will provide a free pass for the day, according to Snow Kingâs website.
The resort is offering the passes as âlocals appreciationâ and as a way to commemorate the last days of the Summit Lift, which has been in use since 1981.
Snow King plans to replace the Summit Lift with an eight-passenger gondola and a chairlift servicing the backside of the mountain. The changes are part of large-scale expansion plans.
