CASPER, Wyo. April is national “Citizen Scientist Month” and the National Weather Service in Cheyenne said on Monday that “CoCoRaHS” is seeking volunteers to help monitor the weather.
“Become a Citizen Scientist by joining CoCoRaHS,” the NWS in Cheyenne said. “Help take observations at your home & you’ll help us accurately forecast & help scientists study past storms.”
“CoCoRaHS” stands for “Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network.” Anyone can join the network to help provided measurements of precipitation in their area and make other weather observations to help monitor the weather.
