Sommerzeit ist Eis-Zeit. Wir Deutschen schlecken rund 120 Kugeln pro Jahr – und damit mehr als die Italiener! 80 Prozent der kalten Leckereien essen wir zu Hause. Warum also nicht gleich selbermachen?
Das geht auch, ohne dass man beim Zubereiten ins Schwitzen kommt – und schmeckt am Ende doppelt lecker. Im Handel gibt es für daheim Eismaschinen mit Kompressor (ab ca. 180 Euro) und ohne (ab ca. 35 Euro). Letztere kühlen nicht von allein – man braucht also viel Platz im Eisschrank, um die Schale vorher 8 bis 24 Stunden zu frosten.
► Wer ganz ohne Maschine cremiges Eis zaubern möchte, der muss die Masse während des Einfrierens etwa alle halbe Stunde gut durchrühren. Das zerkleinert die Eiskristalle, bringt Luft in die Masse und macht sie so leicht zu löffeln.
