The Greenville NCAA baseball regional will be held from June 4 through June 7 at Clark LeClair Stadium in Greenville, North Carolina.
The East Carolina University Pirates baseball team (41-15, 20-8 American Athletic Conference) will play the Norfolk State University Spartans (25-26, 18-10 Mid Eastern Athletic Conference) at noon on June 4. The next game on June 4 will be the University of Maryland Terrapins (28-16, 28-16 Big Ten Conference) vs the University of North Carolina Charlotte 49ers (39-19, 24-8 Conference USA) at 6 p.m.
On June 5, the loser of the game between ECU and Norfolk State will play the loser of the game between Maryland and UNC Charlotte at 1 p.m. Following that, the winners of both of those games will face each other at 6 p.m.
The East Carolina University Pirates baseball team finished the season on May 22 with a 38-14 record (20-8 American Athletic Conference, 27-4 home, 11-9 away) and a No.11 ranking in the nation.Â
The Pirates started the season with five straight wins. Those wins were against the University of Rhode Island Rams (27-24-1, 14-6 Atlantic 10) in a three game series, the Duke University Blue Devils (28-20, 16-17 Atlantic Coastal Conference) and the first game of the series against the Georgia Southern Eagles (31-22, 14-10 Sun Belt Conference).Â
ECU had five series sweeps in the 2021 season.
