GAZA CITY: Gazan teenager Mohammed Najib said on Friday that Israel s bombardment of the coastal enclave and the barrages of rockets unleashed by Palestinian groups was like watching a horror movie .
Najib, 16, has had a frontline view of the battles raging since Monday from his family home in Rimal, a neighbourhood close to the centre of Gaza City.
Fireballs have lit up the night sky over the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip as Israel and Palestinian groups battle, with tower buildings levelled in massive Israeli air strikes.
With the CDC authorizing the use of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in children ages 12 to 15, the United States could get closer to herd immunity. But, vaccination rates could stay about the same as parents make the decision whether or not to get their children vaccinated.

LONDON: Six teenagers are due to face trial in the autumn for the murder of a minicab driver who was fatally stabbed in his car.
Gabriel Bringye, 37, was found collapsed inside a vehicle on Jarrow Road, Tottenham, north-east London, at around 7.20pm on February 17. Bringye, who was from the local area, was pronounced dead at the scene 40 minutes later.
On Wednesday, a number of youths, aged between 15 and 18, appeared at the Old Bailey for a hearing in the case. All six defendants, including David Adeyanju, 18, from Golders Green, north London, are charged with the murder of Bringye and conspiring together to rob taxi drivers of their vehicles on February 17.

SAN ANTONIO – Children of doctors in the San Antonio community lined up to get a COVID-19 vaccine shortly after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s advisory committee endorsed the use of the Pfizer shot in kids as young as 12 years old on Wednesday.
Tate Seger, 13, found out she would be among the first children around her age in San Antonio and the nation to get the Pfizer vaccine as soon as she was picked up from school on Wednesday.

BATON ROUGE - Now that children between the ages of 12 and 15 are eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations, officials with East Baton Rouge Parish Schools are encouraging students to begin the vaccination process as soon as possible.
On Thursday morning, the Louisiana Department of Health is expected to issue formal guidance for the 250,000 youths in Louisiana who are now able to be vaccinated with the COVID-19 fighting shot.
While awaiting further guidance, EBR school officials are eager to see students get inoculated.
