Well, Bernie Sanders is famous for his outsider vibe in the Senate, his wily type of campaign rallies in his multiple runs for President of the United States…but I think from now on, he’ll be known for the memes of his inauguration day outfit that traveled the world in matter of minutes and doesn’t seem to be slowing. He was able to capitalize on his viral look by selling sweatshirts with his now iconic look, which sold of very quick with all the proceeds going to Meals on Wheels. Last week we talked about the Inauguration Bernie bobble head being sold by the National Bobble Head Hall of Fame and Museum. According to TMZ, around 20,000 people have pre-ordered the bobble head at 25 bucks a pop. So successful was the sale, that the producers have pledged $10,000 to the same charity, Meals on Wheels.

On Thursday’s episode of “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” Sanders said he was amused by the now-ubiquitous image, which has Twitter hailing the Vermont senator for his commitment to social distancing and utilitarian fashion choices.
Sanders couldn’t help but laugh when Meyers produced one of his favorite takes on the meme, placing Inauguration Bernie on a couch with the women of “Sex and the City,” and asked if Sanders had been tracking his social media fame.

The senator has been wearing them ever since. “Thanks for all the interest in Bernie s mittens!” Ellis tweeted hours after Wednesday s event. “It truly has been an amazing and historic day! I m so flattered that Bernie wore them to the inauguration. Sadly, I have no more mittens for sale. There are a lot of great crafters on ETSY who make them.” Needless to say, Ellis gloves are now all over the internet, as is Sanders – rocking his beloved “grumpy chic” look at the
