Migration Unveils New Carneros Tasting Room
NAPA VALLEY, California – May 20th, 2021 – Beginning on May 24th, the new Migration tasting room located in the picturesque Carneros region of Napa Valley will begin welcoming guests. Located at 1451 Stanly Lane, the Migration tasting room is ideally situated between Napa Valley and Sonoma County, less than an hour’s drive from San Francisco and Oakland. Offering an elegant, upscale farmhouse aesthetic that reflects the breezy natural beauty of Carneros wine country, the tasting room will be open to the public for by-appointment seated tastings of Migration’s acclaimed cool-climate wines between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.
SHELTER VALLEY
A brush fire moved quickly on the western edge of the Anza Borrego desert Saturday, prompting evacuations for at least 500 residents of the Butterfield Ranch Campground near Shelter Valley.
The blaze being called the Southern fire was burning along the Great Southern Overland Stage Route, or county Route S-2, and was reported to be about 1,200 acres and growing, with a “critical rate of spread,” Cal Fire reported just after 6 p.m. At least three structures have reportedly been destroyed.
The fire was 5 percent contained as of 8:15 p.m., according to Cal Fire.
The Red Cross set up an evacuation site at Agua Caliente County Park.

South Africa recorded its first coronavirus case on this day one year ago.
On 5 March 2020, South African authorities confirmed that a 38-year-old man from KwaZulu-Natal tested positive for Covid-19 shortly after returning from a trip to Italy.
The patient and his close contacts were placed in isolation and monitored by health officials.
Very little was known about the virus back then.

MINISTER of State for Power, Mr Goddy Agba says his appointment has specific roles assigned to him, prime being provision of electricity to urban and rural communities and not to give handouts in the form of bags of rice, cooking oil and wrappers to people.
Agba who spoke against the backdrop of demands by people asking for seasonal gifts said he is working to actualise the policy thrust of the present adminstration to facilitate electricity across states of the federation in order to create employment through increased electricity supply to artisans,small and medium scale enterprises and other creative ventures.
