ORLANDO, Fla. – People in Orange County were able to get some relief as free food and supplies were given out on Vineland Road at Live Church, next to Holy Land Experience, Friday.
State Senator Randolph Bracy teamed up with Farm Share to provide food and supplies to the people of Orange County.

“There’s milk, there is meat for them to make complete meals. Like I said, there is an organization giving away feminine products; we have Feed the Need that is here with fresh fruits and vegetables. Of course, bottled water, Powerade,” Cece Teneal said.

Feeding South Florida seeks formal hearing after losing state food assistance bid
The Agriculture Department awarded the contract to rival food sharing service Farm Share.
Feeding South Florida has filed a written protest requesting a formal administrative hearing after losing a bidding process for a contract with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Nikki Fried, awarded a contract in late March for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (
Farm Share instead. TEFAP is organized under the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and aims to provide nutritious foods to low-income families.
That contract was granted through an RFP bidding process that Feeding South Florida argues was conducted improperly. Feeding South Florida specifically alleges Farm Share misrepresented its capacity to fulfill the deal.

PERRY, Fla. (WTXL) â Farm Share is distributing food to food-insecure Floridians in Perry with Less Fortunate Matters on Saturday.
Recipients will receive fresh produce and non-perishable canned goods.
The distribution begins at 8 a.m. and goes until supplies last at 1600 E Green St., Perry, Fla. 32347.
