Closure of drug trafficking operation at Bundaberg
Bundaberg detectives recently closed a drug trafficking operation, originating in the Bundaberg area and extending to south-east Queensland, involving the alleged distribution of steroids, cocaine and MDMA.
During the operation several residences and businesses were searched with officers locating cash, drugs and associated equipment.
Following information received about the unlawful importation of Selective Androgen Receptive Modulators (SARM) which is similar to testosterone, police searched an Avoca business.
It will be alleged police located more than twenty containers of restricted SARM drugs, as well as steroidal powders and liquids. They also located a substantial amount of packaging, labels, gel capsules and empty vials.

Subscriber only A man has been fined after he struck another man with his car following a verbal exchange. Jack Thomas Liddell, 24, pleaded guilty in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Thursday to one count of driving without due care and attention. The court heard police were called to an crash on Targo St on the afternoon of January 21. When police spoke to the victim he told them he had been struck by Liddell s car and thought he had a broken leg. Police then spoke to Liddell who told officers he had walked across the road to his car which was parked in the centre parking near the Central Hotel when he heard the victim yell something threatening to him.

Subscriber only A court has heard how a man caused extensive damage to another man s car while he was in a red hot rage . The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Friday to contravening a domestic violence order and wilful damage. On October 27 last year the man called his former partner who told him a friend of hers was helping her with the garden. The man became angry before the phone call was ended. A short time later, the aggrieved and a male friend were picking up her son from school when she received a text message from the defendant saying see you soon .

Subscriber only What was meant to be a quiet dinner on the deck almost ended in tragedy for a Bargara couple when an out-of-control ute crashed the party. The car s driver, Jessica Lee Abberton, pleaded guilty in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Friday to one charge of dangerous operation of a vehicle and driving over the middle alcohol limit but not the high alcohol limit. On January 19, Abberton was seen driving her Toyota HiLux from the Bargara Caravan Park near Neilson Park Beach before crashing onto the front deck of a home 700m away. It was school holidays at the time and Abberton and her partner were staying at the park on holidays.
