The Georgia Global Health Alliance (GGHA) today announced the release of their
2020 Georgia Global Health Landscape Study, the first-ever study quantifying the impact of the global health sector on Georgia’s economy and the potential it holds for the future.
Georgia’s global health sector is one of the most robust in the country. This growing sector spans a diverse coalition, including research universities, hospitals, medical supply distributors, biotechnology firms, grantmaking foundations, non-profits, and other types of organizations. It continues to grow in size, scope, and significance, creating an economic stronghold for the state. The study provides, for the first time, a comprehensive view of this growing economic engine in our state.
