Extinction Rebellion: UK police arrest cofounder Gail Bradbrook
Police have arrested climate activist Gail Bradbrook for conspiracy to cause criminal damage after her group attacked two London banks.

A spokeswoman for the Extinction Rebellion group on Tuesday said one of its cofounders had been arrested by officers from London s Metropolitan Police.
The group, whose stated aim is to use nonviolent protest to force government action on climate change, has staged numerous high-profile protests in the UK, US and other developed nations including Germany.

EXTINCTION Rebellion co-founder Gail Bradbrook was arrested at her home in Gloucestershire this morning. Officers from the Metropolitan Police arrested Ms Bradbrook at her home in Stroud at around 5.30am this morning. She has been arrested for conspiracy to cause criminal damage and fraud in relation to XR s Money Rebellion campaign. The campaign is a call to expose and disrupt the economic rules and institutions driving us toward societal collapse . Ms Bradbrook faces a potential sentence of 10 years in prison. LONDON (Reuters) -British climate activist Gail Bradbrook, co-founder of the Extinction Rebellion group, was arrested at home on Tuesday for conspiracy to cause criminal damage and fraud after her group attacked banks such as HSBC and Barclays.
Activists from the group smashed the window frontage of HSBC and Barclays in Canary Wharf last month and have targeted Lloyd s of London as part of what the activists cast as a Money Rebellion . Extinction Rebellion co-founder Gail Bradbrook was arrested by officers from the Metropolitan Police at her home in Stroud at around 5:30 am this morning for conspiracy to cause criminal damage and fraud in relation to Money Rebellion s debt disobedience, a spokeswoman for the group said.

Extinction Rebellion co-founder arrested after attacks on Canary Wharf banks

Extinction Rebellion co-founder Gail Bradbrook was arrested at her home this morning for conspiracy to cause criminal damage and fraud after her group attacked banks in Canary Wharf.
They have also targeted Lloyd’s of London, where they dumped fake coal outside the front of the building as part of a campaign against inuring fossil fuel mining activities. The group have called their actions “Money Rebellion”.
“Extinction Rebellion co-founder Gail Bradbrook was arrested by officers from the Metropolitan Police at her home in Stroud at around 5:30am this morning for conspiracy to cause criminal damage and fraud in relation to Money Rebellion’s debt disobedience,” a spokeswoman for the group said.
