As Samantha Armytage exits Sunrise with fanfare after eight years, Channel Seven has quietly cut ties with another of its longtime breakfast TV personalities.
Daily Mail Australia can reveal the network last week ended its legal war with weekend sports presenter and It s Academic host Simon Reeve.
It is understood Reeve - who spent 35 of his 59 years on screen with Seven - reached a confidential settlement with Seven following mediation at the Federal Court.
The deal followed an ugly eight month saga after the network suddenly axed Reeve in May, with the presenter suing last September.
The court previously heard Reeve claimed he was owed at least $500,000 in employee entitlements but Seven insisted he was owed nothing, as he was a contractor at the time.
