Palermo only joined the gang in series three but he has quite the tumultuous story-line.
In a series of flashbacks, viewers found out that, while not taking part in the first heist at the Royal Mint of Spain, he had a key role in planning it, alongside Berlin, who he has known for at least a decade, and The Professor (Álvaro Morte).
The Professor however had his doubts about Palermo, claiming he cared more about his love for Berlin than the plan itself.
The kissing scene between Palermo and Berlin and their relationship is still one of the fans’ favourites, making a reunion between the two from beyond the grave a very exciting possibility to some.
As viewers will know, Tatiana and Berlin were divorced before the action began in season one.
The real reason behind this has not yet been revealed so far.
However, given how Berlin mentions to Rio (Miguel Herrán) he will not marry again from his past experiences, it seems like things did not end well between them.

This means Tatiana would have a reason to want to use the information she has on him against him.
Berlin is already dead by this point in the show but his brother and team would have to be the second-best choice.

The megahit Spanish drama Money Heist, also known as La Casa de Papel, will return for a fifth and final season. Season 4 of the much loved web show ended on a much dramatic note with The Professor in peril and the gang surrounded from all corners. Season five is expected to premiere by the end of year and fans are already tripping over fan theories. One such theory has led them to think that Angel Rubio might join the gang of robbers in the series finale.
