The Daily News It was no surprise that small businesses across Eastern North Carolina were going to be affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Some of them were unable to reopen after the state-wide shutdown and others are on their last leg if they were able to qualify for federal and state funding.  One small business owner in Swansboro has taken matters into her own hands after a neighboring town showed success in reaching out to consumers in order to mob businesses with their hard earned money, who continue to struggle with virus restrictions.  Jessica Radley, owner of Candy Edventure in Swansboro created the Swansboro Small Business Cash Mob Facebook Page two weeks ago in order to help highlight local businesses who need the community s help to survive. The movement is a growing trend across the state and most recently made its way to New Bern where Radley explained she saw it and decided it was much needed in her own town.
