Matching top talent with teams ahead of the WFT in the second round Photo by Todd Kirkland/Getty Images Laid out below is a list of the teams ahead of us in the second round as well as their estimated positions of need. Yes, it’s contrary to taking the Best Player Available. Yes, it’s not how I would recommend teams do things. Nevertheless, it’s the simplest way I have to speculate about who might be off, and on, the draft board once Washington’s second round pick rolls around at #51. I expect this will draw lots of thoughts. Have at it in the comments!

8 players, positions the Broncos could target on Day 2 of the 2021 NFL Draft

8 players, positions the Broncos could target on Day 2 of the 2021 NFL Draft Apr 30, 2021 at 12:27 PM Copied! ENGLEWOOD, Colo. The first round may be over, but the Broncos chances to add a first-round talent are not. General Manager George Paton said Thursday night that the Broncos still have three or four players on their board with first-round grades, and they could have a chance to add one of those players when Round 2 begins on Friday evening. No matter how the board falls, the Broncos should be poised to add an impact player. Denver is slated to make the 40th-overall pick the eighth selection of the round and Paton said the team has eight players that they really like.

2021 NFL Draft Grades: How Did the Jets Do in the First Round?

2021 NFL Draft Grades: How Did the Jets Do in the First Round? NFL Draft analysts have given out grades for the first round of 2021. I find this annual rite of passage a bit silly. Immediate grades tend to not hold up very well over the long haul. A player’s actual performance is all that matters. Still immediate grades are given. Just keep all of this in mind. You can clearly see why Draft grades are stupid.unless they praise the Jets. Now let’s get to the grades. The Jets fell in love with Wilson during the pre-draft process and I get it. There’s a lot of skills you see and imagine them translating to the NFL like Aaron Rodgers or Pat Mahomes, improvising, turning plays into jazz, and free-forming his way into eye-popping moments. Personally, I’m not nearly as high on Wilson. He played a lot of bad competition and threw too many 50/50 balls. I think this is a bigger risk than it needed to be, and the Jets are in dire need of “sure thing” superstars.

49ers Day 2 mock draft: A safety in the second round?

Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU (6-1, 208 pounds) The 49ers need to think about the near future of safety with Jaquiski Tartt and Jimmie Ward fading on the back end. Moehrig is the most complete playmaker in a deep class for the position. Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Memphis (5-11, 191 pounds) The 49ers do have Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. but they also had more durability issues in the backfield last season. Gainwell is a great value pick here as he can excel in Kyle Shanahan’s zone-blocking scheme to help new first-round QB Trey Lance. 43. San Francisco: Richie Grant, S, UCF Jaquiski Tartt has had a rash of injuries over the past few seasons. Grant, an undersized but all-around solid and aggressive safety, would at least an important third safety if not a starter in San Francisco.

Days 2 and 3 - How to Finish the Draft

Days 2 and 3 - How to Finish the Draft By Riding Herd on Apr 30, 2021, 4:25pm CDT + Draft Grade: B+ With the somewhat surprise pick of Micah Parsons last night, I decided to see how I d finish the draft. This is my first posted PFF mock draft. I picked to do it because it was the only one I saw that would pre-fill the day 1 picks. Here are my selections: Problems: PFF may be more realistic than the other draft simulators I ve been using. It definitely has people going sooner. In 4 drafts, Alim McNeill went 49th, 60th, 60th, and 49th which forces you to select him somewhere in round 2
